HE'S a classic example of New York cool, breaking up a heated fight on a subway while munching nonchalantly on a bag of chips.
The unidentified passenger – quickly dubbed "Snackman" on the internet - has become an unwitting viral celebrity after quietly stepping between a man and woman as their fight turns ugly.
The mobile phone footage, which you can watch above, shows the woman laying into the man, while shouting: "Don't follow me."
As she starts kicking, Snackman slides into position as if it's the most normal thing in the world.
And it seems to work as you can see above.
