The chance for you to kiss your favorite actor or actress may soon become a reality.
Researchers at Japan’s Keio University are developing a technology that responds to people’s movements. The secret to this technology is the ultrasound sensor that perceives your head movements and your distance from the image, so when you go in for a smooch, the image also leans in.

The research team is also thinking of additional ways to make the image more realistic by providing the other senses with feedback, such as being able to smell the shampoo the image model uses, receiving sweet nothings or an “I love you,” among others.
If this proves successful, we are surely one step closer to the newspapers and photographs portrayed in the Harry Potter series.
